Giulia e Alberto

Last September, I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding that combined the best of both worlds – a ceremony in the historic city of Pavia, followed by a reception at a charming countryside venue.
The wedding day began with the bride and groom getting ready in separate locations in Pavia. The bride was getting ready in a hotel room overlooking the city's historic landmarks, while the groom was getting ready in a country chic hotel in the countryside.

As the preparations began, I captured some candid moments of the couple's family and friends, as they got ready for the big day.

The wedding ceremony took place at a beautiful church in the heart of the small town of Certosa di Pavia. As the bride arrived she walked down the aisle, she looked absolutely stunning in her white gown. The groom, meanwhile, waited nervously at the altar, surrounded by his groomsmen. The ceremony was a beautiful mix of tradition and personal touches, and I was able to capture some incredible shots of the couple's exchange of vows and rings.

After the ceremony, we took some portraits of the couple and their bridal party in the historic streets of Certosa di Pavia. The city's medieval architecture provided a perfect backdrop for the couple's romantic moments, and we were able to capture some truly memorable shots. The reception was held at a charming countryside venue, just a short drive from Pavia.

The venue was a beautiful rustic farmhouse, surrounded by rolling hills and fields. The tables were adorned with flowers and candles, and the atmosphere was relaxed and intimate. The couple shared their first dance under the stars, surrounded by their family and friends, and it was a truly magical moment.

Throughout the day, I was able to capture so many incredible moments – from the bride getting ready in her hotel room to the couple's first dance in the countryside. It was an honor to be a part of such a special day, and I feel so fortunate to have been able to capture these precious memories for the couple.

If you're planning a wedding in Italy, I highly recommend considering the combination of a city ceremony and countryside reception. It's the perfect way to experience the best of both worlds, and it makes for a truly unforgettable day.
